Mosley had up to two hours to come back and make weight; ever the professional, he returned less than five minutes later, coming in at exactly 147 lb.

The 12-round welterweight main event takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California (Saturday, HBO, 10PM ET/7PM PT). [details]
I want to put my confidence in Mosley but his stamina & legs make me question if he can keep up with the ever aggressive & stamina ready Antonio Margarito. I always said back in the day if Shane used the gifts he had as a boxer/athlete & boxed instead of trying to brawl out, he would have been more established then he is now. Shane is durable as hell but he is going to try to slug at some point with the tough head, heavy hitting, pressure fighter & get hurt. I hope ****m infiltrated Shane's brain & passed along some good boxing knowledge on how to beat the bigger, stronger guy.

I had Margarito as the clear favorite but that weight just doesn't seem right, that's too low. Shane on the other hand was heavier than I thought, to me it seems that the chances of Marg knockout are slim. I think with that weight Margarito will look sluggish and not as strong. If there isn't a substantial increment in his weight hours before the fight, Marg will loose...

The fighters weight today doesn't mean much in this case. We'll see what they weigh tomorrow, and then there might be some issues.

thats what makes marg such a freak at welter,he trains like hell & then after the weigh-in he puts on 10-12lbs. overnight becuase he has a big frame so hes really a middleweight/jr. middleweight fighting smaller men.

            Excuses, excuses, excuses!!!

Common folks dont start making excuses about margarito's weight! Sounds like alot of bull**** already! I like margarito but he should move up in weight. I would like sergio martinez fight margarito again. Cotto should stay the hell away from margarito. He should fight clottey but highly unlikely

why are people making such a big deal out of tony's weight, every fighter puts on pounds, cotto did it for years when he fought at jr welter,he outweighed his opponents, manny pacquiao the same,,,all fighters put on pounds, heck when santos fought margarito years ago, santos weighed at fight night 171 pounds, who's saying anything? ...paul williams outweighs his opponents now even at jr. middle...so stop all the excuses,,,tony isn't that big,he's a skinny man..cotto who's shorter still puts on the pounds on fight night...so as long as you make weight the day before, who cares,if you do,then you forgot to mention these guys i just wrote about

Don't be making excuses now, he was going to lose either way if it does end up with Mosley winning. Excuses are like *******s, everyone has one.
