Honestly I'd say this one deserves the hype, I can't see another matchup in the years to come which could equal this one.
But comparing it to Hagler vs Hearns, come on. That **** is unwarranted.

      penn is superior to gsp.

an out of shape penn schooled gsp.

it wasn't til penn injured his ribs that gsp turned things around.

i think its a bit arrogant to say penn/gsp cant be like haggler/hearns! how do you know?!
nobody could have predicted haggler/hearns would have been the way it was! you never know!
although despite that i think both fighters will show each other to much respect for it to be an all out war! but... who knows?.. bj penn`s a bit of a crazy horse!..
i think it`l be a classic either way!!
but barnett/yvell? come on!! yvell won 1 fight in pride and lost about 7/8! if barnett loses that i`ll be shocked!!

Even the moving-up-in-weight to take the bigger man angle is pretty ******, because the first time they fought was at 170, hell Penn probably spent the majority of his career at that weight.

He's only been down at 155 for a year or so. Terrible article.

                bull**** post

Penn won the 1st round, GSP clearly won rounds 2 and 3

                29-28 for GSP

GSP is the superior fighter, he is bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic, etc....He has improved a lot since their first fight. He will dominate Penn in the rematch.

How is it good, they are biting off boxing and trying to steal the viewing audience. If they are successful in pulling that source of income (Boxing Fans) then they are one step closer in killing our sport.

As a fan of mma and sum1 who will be watchin the fight i would say that it isn't a hagler hearns in terms of the stature of the fight to the world but it is that kinda fight in the mma world...this fight is going to be brutal and entertaining to watch with either guy standing a chance of winning if their game plans are well executed. The ufc primetime show is near enough the same as the 24/7 show in terms of how it is put together and edited, the only big difference is that with the 24/7 shows u had bigger stars so it seemed more entertaining to the average fan but ive watched every 24/7 made and i'm currently watching the ufc primetime show and i think they are both well put together and informative. Gsp penn is a huge fight for the mma world and is the type of fight that you should watch even if you're an average fan or haven't watched an mma ppv b4...i love boxing and mma and the two can co-exist, and jus like low blow armo said all they are doing is using established ideas to their benefit, boxing should do the same bcus the gsp penn ppv will not jus be a good fight, but will be a gr8 ppv card with a gr8 main event and rly good undercard...if anything boxing should take note bcus ive seen rly good main events in boxing recently but they have all had terrible undercards, case in point pacman vs dlh.
