Do you know that Jones actually put more leather on Joe than B-hop? It was Jones' defense and foot movement that failed him in that fight. Hops was ready to give up against Calzaghe and that's why he took the 'fake' low blow rests. It was a joke that the scores were so close and he was only in the fight in the first few rounds, just like Jones. A B-hop-Jones fight is pretty even now based on fighting styles and how the fighters have aged. A prime Roy would beat any version of Hopkins there ever was or will be.Originally posted by S.G. RJJ is one of the most physically gifted fighers of all time but he is not an intelligent fighter. When the physicals gifts started to erode and Roy was asked to put together an actual strategy he became an average figher. BHop's best weapon is his intelligence. At this stage of their career he picks apart Roy with a superior gameplan.
Of course, a Prime Roy wins 9 out of 10 times.Comment
