Hopkins is right though. If the WBC wants him to fight a mandatory he has to. It's not his fault the other guy wasn't any good. Also, Larry said that nobody wanted to watch the fight. If that was true why was HBO there? HBO fuelled the problem by showing a dud fight. Merchant got paid that night because Hopkins was on HBO.

Hopkins is also right about the weight classes. There are too many of them.

Anyone who thinks HBO is biased towards their fighters needs to look at this interview. Larry was a bit obnoxious to Bhop tho..

larry merchant makes no sense at all here, whats bhop's fault? Fight a mandatory? The guy here ranked n 2 was a bum? HBO televising it? None of that is BHop's fault...if theres a fault is in the system, too many ABC belts and managers paying for getting their fighters in the position to be a mandatory. Larry knows all that, but still behaves as if he doesnt, being really an ass here.
