David Diaz was top 3 and the
    WBC Champion.
Pac became a 4time world champ after.

That's why I want to know if The rIng belt is considered as a championship belt. Cause if it is, then Pac should be a 5 time world champ .He captured barrera's Ring Belt at 126.

Yes, most boxing experts would rate it as the most important championship belt. But most boxing experts would not consider that he was the world champion at Lightweight. He will have won belts at 6 weights if he beats Hatton, but only three world championships.

"It's cultural," he said. "And part of this was my fault. I did not tell the Hatton people that you do not give a deadline to a Filipino. When World War II ended, and everybody said it had ended, the Filipinos kept fighting for three more years.

"We have the points. It's a 52-48 split [on the revenue favoring Pacquiao]. It's not that. It's not money.

"It's about respect, or lack of that. Pacquiao's people thought that setting a deadline meant lack of respect. I didn't tell Hatton's people that, and that's my fault." (Hatton is handled by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.)

"We do business in the States differently," Arum said. "We yell and holler at each other and then get a deal. For us, it's all about the Benjamins [hundred-dollar bills]. It's different for them, and the deadline disrespected them."

Arum said that, with the time change, he would arrive in the Philippines on Monday and meet with Pacquiao on Tuesday.
I like the bit about world war II.
          That's classic.

Name me one "expert" who doesn't consider Pacquiao as a world champ for the winning the WBC.

That's like saying Floyd Wasn't a world champ at 147 cause he only beat baldomir or Oscar wasn't a world champ at 154 cuse he beat javier Castillejo.

Sign the dotted line. There has been way too much drama to drum up this fight. I can't take this heartache anymore. Can I get a hug?
              Bad K for you LOL.

Correction, please. Pacquiao was a world champion at 112 (KO, Chatchai Sasakul), 122 (KO, Ledwaba), 130 (Split D, JMM) and 135 (KO, David Diaz). So he's got 4 world titles to go with 3 lineal championships (122, 126, 130). If he wins against Hatton, he'll be the first man to win four lineal championships.

Pac is gonna come in to this fight angry and destroy Hatton. Floyd already showed that Hatton cant handle speed and Pac's just as fast but obviously more aggressive than floyd. Pac will straight up murder him with combinations all night long! but then because he is just a nice guy he will perform a resurrection of Hatton in front of everyone! The fight should be named "The Death and Resurrection of Ricky Hatton"

I really think that its not even about the belt anymore, Pacman is just out there to prove to the world that he is the best boxer in the world! A fighter that always wants to challenge the best/good/better/bigger boxer the world has to offer! Who's next Margarito? Cotto? Maybe the Klitchsko bro's?
