Honestly this is probably fairly standard negotiation, but because of the popularity of pac and hat, it was covered by the "press" so much that it has everyone reeling a bit.

Really they shouldn't have released anything about the contract info until they were ready to sign or at least in agreement, if that were the case we wouldnt really have known about all the drama short of a 25 second max kellerman bit on how they had trouble comming to an agreement.

I mean, this sort of thing probably happens frequently, you just don't hear about it cause its not fighters of this popularity.

I would agree with that. They've been doing it more and more the last couple of years with Mayweather who seemed to have restarted the trend about bitching about pay.
Roy Jones used to do it, Winky never stops doing, so usually it's kind of surprising that these two guys would air it out in public.
