Let's look at what we know...

Hennessy claims to have offered Taylor $1.6 million to come to the UK sometime in April, with no television guarantee for US audiences. Showtime has said they don't want to air the fight on a tape delay, meaning unless it happens at 2 a.m. GMT, Showtime won't be a part of it.

DiBella claims to have offered Froch $650,000 to come to the states March 28, plus allowing Froch to keep the British tv money (about $800,000), for a total of $1.45 million. The fight would be aired on Showtime in the US, and probably on ITV in the UK (according to Hennessy they are still trying to make tv arrangements for this date).

So we have a $1.6 million offer to Taylor to fight in the UK, and a $1.45 million offer to Froch to fight in the US.

I'm sure I'll be accused of being a biased Yank, but IMO the 1.45 figure is much more meaningful to Froch than the 1.6 figure is to Taylor. Taylor's used to making this kind of money and more, while this would be the biggest payday of Froch's career BY FAR. If he is truly being offered almost a million and a half dollars to come to the states and fight a US star live on showtime, he should jump on it. Clearly he wants/needs this fight way worse than Taylor, as evident by the fact that he can't seem to close his yap.

I haven't been following the different offers that have been made, but if what you say is correct, then Froch should accept the offer.

Let's hope that it finally gets signed, although I get the feeling that it won't.

Dude has one of the best if not one of the best resumes of any current fighter.. Froch is a nobody and before the end of the year Froch is going to get his wish and regret it

I dont know much about JT. But does he normally let relatively unknown boxers trash his courage? Im sure someone close to JT has read what Froch is saying and told JT about it. I am even more certain that JT has read everything said by Froch himself as well.

The figures were taken from interviews with both promoters that have appeared on various boxing sites. I made sure not to include any outside speculation or rumor.

Froch needs to think outside the box. If the so-called names won't fight him he should go after another title or fight a decent MW like Abraham or Pavlik.

Would I be right in thinking that unless Froch accepts the offer that is currently on the table with the next 24 hours, the fight won't happen?

Purse bids are tomorrow, right? I can't see DiBella agreeing to the result of that.

Froch needs to realise that sometimes you have to accept less than you think you're worth. It shouldn't be too hard, considering that the $$$ involved are more than what he's previously earned, and more than he would earn fighting Murat.

If he wins, he'll be able to command bigger paydays in the future anyway.
