If you have a problem with a fighter that is willing to fight the best anytime, anywhere, ANY PLACE...a fighter who NEVER hid out and fought bums in his hometown half his career....a fighter who has travelled one of the longest, hardest roads you can travel and FINALLY found some success...
then YOU...are bad for Boxing.
I was mearly trying to get people off Johnsons nuts because everyone thinks he should basically be undefeated (slight exaggeration on my part).
If he was soo good as everyone claims then he wouldn't have close fights.
Calzaghe has only had 2 close fights in his entire career, Reid and Hopkins. Yet people slate him constantly, same goes for Mayweather. The public hate winners, it's a disgrace.

Sounds to me that you're in some way trying to defend Calzaghe not fighting Johnson even though they were slated to face one another a couple of times. Johnson is a tough fight for anyone and that has been proven throughout his career. A fight against Calzaghe would be no different--a tough fight for each fighter.

A tough fight - yes. But not a winnable one.
Hell he'd probably have ANOTHER controversial decision. This **** is just laughable.

I understand that people like his style and feel bad for the way his career has went, but get over it already.
Yes, he is a very good fighter.
Yes, he has lost some controversial fights.
Yes, I commend him for taking all comers.
No, he's no great boxer. He's a damn good journeymen who deserves respect, but I think people have goggles on when they talk about Glenn Johnson. They tend to think even before the fight, "he's going to get screwed". That's just not the case. Chad Dawson beat him, it was close, but Chad won the fight. Do I think Johnson deserves a rematch? Of course, but these people saying it was a screwjob are out of their mind.
I compare Glenn Johnson to Tony Dungy. Two really nice guys who didn't have the greatest resume, but somehow because of their personality/style, they get more credit then they deserve.
I like Glenn Johnson, but you're right, people talk crazy with him.
