  • Is Malignaggi a threat to any legit contenders in their primes?

As far as I can see this guy is gonna end up a club fighter. Seriously he got 2 gifts against Ngoudjo and the second N'dou fight. Where does he go from here? I can see him making a living eking out decisions against older fighter who used to be something, but if he steps up and fights a legit young fighter I don't see it going well for him. He is the kind of guy an up and comer could make a name off blitzing. Someone like Victor Ortiz or Lamont Peterson. What do you guys think of his chances?

    Yes, this guy.

    He'd ruin him.

i think paulie malignaggi is an excellent but obviously very limited boxer . . . has had an excellent career despite having no power. has had good showings and can be a fun and busy fighter to watch. i think he can give people fits with his jab and good legs, but fighters that are suppose to rule the division in the near future like ortiz should be able to beat paulie imo.

The Pauli Malignaggi who fought in his last fight wasn't the same one from the first ndou fight, I don't care if Hatton fans hate me for saying that. They can say that Hatton made Pauli look bad and that is why Pauli didn't perform good, but the truth is we all know that something looked wrong with Pauli. I gave Pauli the first round in the hatton fight.

After that he looked like a different fighter then he normally did. He's had hand problems and confidence isssues through out his career, he has a big mouth but he is more talented then what he shows. All excuses aside, good win for Hatton

Couldn't you have combined the Hatton bashing into ONE thread?

if paulie can ever keep his hands healthy he would be a player, no doubt about it. I used to not like Paulie at all until i saw the Cotto and the first Ndou fight. Kid has heart and some sick skills as a slick boxer. Unfortunately it think Paulie should call it a day b/c of his hands. not worth it IMO

Its called "taking a dive". Hatton is a Golden Boy fighter and for "some reason" alot of fighters don't look right fighting Golden Boy fighters. Other examples; Pavlik vs Hopkins and Mayorga vs any GB fighter.

He's good enuf to win anotha belt, but I dunno if he'll ever be truly elite again. He had me believin he could outbox Hatton and blew his big chance.
