It's uncharacteristic of Pac to price himself out of a fight like this. His lawyer has been speaking largely upon his behalf, Arum who originally negotiated a 50/50 deal, is mystified by what's been going on and Freddie Roach who wants Manny to take the fight, hasn't been able to get in contact with him while he's been home in the Phillipines. All of which suggests to me that maybe his peoples are trying to influence his decision.

I don't hate Manny, I don't disrespect Manny... but I have lost a little bit of respect for him. They verbally agreed to 50/50 and he changed his mind... Hatton said no through principle... even Bob Arum and Freddie Roach said 50/50 was fair and he wasn't having any of it. Now, the fight is off... it isn't happening, loads of people were looking forward to this fight but Pacquiao was being stubborn about 60/40 instead of a fair 50/50 so I think a lot of people have lost respect for him.

Pacquiao is a great fighter, with great skills and I am a fan of his work... I think he would beat Hatton, but you gotta agree that it was mainly his fault the fight that many people wanted to see isn't happening. I don't hate the guy and I am not trying to bash him but I must admit I am disappointing to be honest.

I think I read somewhere on these forums that Arum even offered to take a less pay cut so Manny can get more money if he agreed to 50/50 and he still wouldn't agree (don't jump to conclusions about that though I may have read it wrong).

Either way... both of them are great fighters and have achieved a lot in there career, and I wish them all the best.

The notion that Pac is going to retire is frankly absurd if everything I have heard about him is true. Just like Roberto Duran, fighters that fight because they love to fight don't stop fighting until they are physically unable too.

I have heard many times that Manny absolutely loves to fight.

If you love what you do, and you are good at what you do, you don't stop doing what you do. Manny isn't retiring any time soon.

lol, floyd would demand more than 60-40, something like 70-30 plus UK ppv money.

            I'm just glad Hatton-Pac didn't push thru.
