Nah, he's not scared, but he has got greedy thanks to the sychophants and entourage whispering in his ear. Bob Arum knows he can't get a better deal than 52-48 and he knows that Pacquiao is lucky to get that considering the economics of the fight. Freddie Roach is concerned about what Pacquiao is doing too and can't get in contact with him. Pacquiao is being manipulated by those around him, who are just looking to sponge some money for themselves.

Seriously, he needs to re-evaluate the company he keeps and check his ego. I understand he's the P4P king but he has to respect what Ricky Hatton brings to the table financially. He won't earn close to the money being offered for this fight if faces someone else.

Ok ok so he does't want to take the 52-48 split to fight Hatton. Maybe he has his reasons maybe there is no reason. Stop, think about what you just said.

Now consider:

How would you feel if you where the bigger Draw (65-35) where putting your Ring and lineal title on the line, you backed down on place, date and time of the fight and your opponent wanted a bigger share of the $$?

Then consider you said ok if your opponents ego says he must have the large share you compromise again even though 50/50 was agreed in advance and both your opponents promoter and manager say 50/50 is a great deal and he still said no.

Would you move closer to him?

To be fair I think both were being greedy. They both could've made more of an effort to reach a compromise.
