Manny's ego has really suprised me recently. Beating Oscar was fantastic but in reality he beat a shell of a fighter that night who clearly has to retire. If Pacquiao doesn't fight Mayweather next then he's made a terrible mistake in turning down the Hatton fight. Manny needed to build on his victory with Oscar and Hatton or Floyd fight would of been great...none of them is a huge setback.

      both of them, obviously.

Pacquiao is being an idiot for not excepting 50-50 in the first place, which was fair.
Hatton is an idiot for not budging from 52-48. seriously, its only 3% more. dont be such a little girl.

why should we ever blame Arum? All he wants is the cash generated from this fight, and did all he could to save it.

I can see where he's comin from, but still if Pac didn't demand more the fight would be on. It's Pac's fault.

I disagree. If you had an endeavor and you hire an agency to promote you. And hire, pay that agency (bob arum). And that promotional agency had all praises for the patience of your oponent, how would you feel? MP has his own promo agency anyway. I think Pac should fire bob arum, a traitor, sold MP for his own selfishness.

Hatton dudged from 50-50 to 52-48. Why should he continue to budge? Its Pacs turn to make adjustments.

It's not Manny's fault that Hatton chickened out. Hatton and team so quick to call it off. Hatton and team knows theyre gonna get embarrased by the little pinoy, boohoo. hatton is scared. plain and simple.

Your promoter is paid to get you the best deal thats reasonably achievable without hurting the product.

50/50 was very generous to pacman every single nuetral poster here said so, hatton could easily have asked for more having given up the venue and fight time.

As soon as Pac-man refused the 50/50 agreed by Arum he started hurting the product (him in the eyes of fans) by refusing to compromise he has significantly damaged his reputation as a product (himself) and choise of markets (other fighters).

My view mirrors most people who follow boxing, Arum is one of the best deal makers in the sport, his fighters often come out a bargin session better than they rightfully should do when he is at the table, i believe this was the case at 50/50 and Arum did a great job getting that much.

The movement from Hatton both in terms of venue, timing of the fight, date and movement from 50/50 to 52/48 shows he was willing to move to get the fight made.

Pacman refused to take good offers, refused again when even his close advisers told him it was a good deal and then again when Hatton moved towards him. All this after gaining every consession on other aspects of the fight.

I honestly don't know wtf Pacman is thinking, Brit fans would have become fans of him on a large scale had he won so not only has he squandered his biggest payday through greed he has lost a **** load of potential loyal fans.
