you keep stating that pac deserves the bigger cut. why didnt he get the bigger cut with the dlh if he was the p4p #1 and dlh wasnt even on the top 20? because they knew who was bringing the most money in. i agree with you, pac has accomplished much more than hatton. but i mean c'mon, if you were hatton and you knew you would bring in the most money would you seriously think "pac desrves the bigger cut, i admire the man for his accomplishments"

This was a cop-out on Manny's part. He knows he will get no more money in any fight than this even with a 60-40 split on Hatton's favor. This had to be a way to A) hype the fight. You've hit the nail on the head, no-one "deserves" anything like the sort of money the top fighters get - as you say, if people were paid on that basis, firemen would all be millionaires. Or if it were based on skill, top chess players would all be millionaires. But people are paid based on the revenue they generate, always have been (except under communism) and always will be. So those fans who say their fighter should pull out because the other fighter doesn't "deserve" a given amount are living on another planet.

Morales=beat Manny and then he was shot and shotter.
Barrera=good first win and shot in the 2nd.
Marquez=good close wins and should be the crowning fights for Manny except Chris John beat him convincingly when Manny couldn't.
