Not one clean punch lol. It took 4 off Prescott to finish him. I doubt Barrera ****s like Prescott.

He got wobbled with a damn jab... please....

Barrera is savvy enough and dirty enough to land flush shots on his charmin chin.

It would really ****** to think that Barrera is made for Khan. Someone who has no punching power and is a club fighter is made for him.

We''ll have to wait and see how Barrera looks this month against a decent opponent to tell. The last guy he fought was truly a bum.

It's a great match for him to take. If Khan can't beat Barrera, then he can't beat any top lightweight, so he may as well retire now. On the other hand, a win over a canny, faded legend like Barrera would be valuable learning experience for Khan, and would dramatically increase his marketability.

Roach believes his can solve Khan's chin problem, and I have a lot of respect for Roach's opinion. Khan has also been taking Pac's power shots in sparring (admittedly without the full force they would have if it weren't sparring, but Pac isn't the sort to throw feather punches, even in sparring). Khan has a superb jab and blinding handspeed, and with the changes Roach has made to him, he is no longer the badly trained idiot who lost to Prescott.

That's not being disrespectful to Barrera who is an all time great fighter, but he is not a true lightweight, he is not a big puncher, and although he is not shot, he is way past his best.

It won't make his name and I don't believe he's under any illusion that it will. But even a faded Barrera is a step up in class, a valuable learning experience for him; and will increase his marketability. I don't see anything wrong with Khan taking this fight at all.
