I have seen Sam Peter a couple of times and he has great power but I don't know what too make of him. He has too step it up before I get even remotely excited. He is fighting on the undercard of Jose Luis Castillo/Casamayor. It is the third bout and as far as I know Showtime is not televising it. He's fighting Jeremy Williams which could be real exciting, if I was Showtime I would certainly televise this fight, if Peter is who some say he is(raw version of Ike) than he needs more exsposure, besides that fight should end in KO either way.
Is this the next big heavyweight?

Even Peter's punch is overrated.
His shots are heavy, but he's got zero snap.
His punch will be less & less effective as he steps up in class.Comment

The ONLY reason he's a version of Ike, is because he's Nigerian.
there are no other similarities.Comment

I am definately not disagreeing with you, I look forward to him stepping it up-unfortunately Jeremy Williams is not it. But if Williams ko's/exsposes Peter then we can just right him off immediately-I am not quite yet ready to do that.Comment

I have seen Peter fight a couple of times and he is definately heavy handed but in his last fight he went right hand crazy, he really doesn't have any punch variation and looks to tire easily and really telegraphs his overhand rights after that. I'm not a klicthco fan (don't know how to spell the name right), but I think he would bust Peter up. Peter reminds me a little of sonny liston...Comment

It will really be interesting to see how Peter will handle Williams in his next fight. I think that Peter has to really make a statement in this one because he didn't look all that great in last fight versus Pudar.
However the upside to Sam Peter is that he is only 24 years old and seems to be improving with each bout. I'm anxiously awaiting his next fight, this is no guranteed victory for Peter, Williams is more than a "live" opponent.Comment
