Cotto Is A True Champion But Why Has He Only Won Vacated Belts?

Every belt he has won, even the minor belts were vacated belts. His first was the
1.vacant WBC International light welterweight title
    then
2.vacant WBO NABO light welterweight title
    then
    3.vacant WBO light welterweight title
    then
    4. vacant WBA welterweight title
    and on January 24
    5. vacant WBO welterweight title

Is this good positioning by Arum or just bad timing as the belts were vacated at that point? Just such a coincidence that all of them were vacated belts, of course we know Cotto is for real and that takes nothing away from his ability or what he brings to the table, just interesting.

Who gives a ****????/ It doesnt matter if is Vacant or not is the quality of opponent you beat for the belt!!!!!!!

I think all of them were bad timing and were vacated, before Cotto had the chance to fight the champ in position for it. This last one againts Jennings is BS and ridiculous. That was Arum because Cotto wanted Cintron for the tune up, but Arum wanted that belt to make the rematch with margo more interesting and more marketable!!!!!!

Really? So Cesar Bazan, Rocky Martinez, Kelson Pinto, and now Michael Jennings get a pass somehow? I wasnt hating on Cotto its just something that sticks out. Other fighters are always criticized for not getting a title linearly but when Cotto does it, its ok? Again not hating on the guy, Im a fan, but again its noticeable.

No he hasn't beaten a champion. Clottey, Cintron (at one time) and Paul (at one time) were ready. I don't know what happend either but Cotto has faced/ is still is facin good opposition. Just that maybe...Gomez and Jennings should have never happend?

Thats the thing, Im a fan of Hop and Floyd but have criticized them before, trust me Im not bias, Im criticized Hop many times, especially for fighting the wrong fight and assuming he knew how scorecards would read.

Why does Hopkins mostly fight smaller men?

Its no coincidence his biggest fights are the ones where his opponent came up in weight to fight him.
