He could've been a Heavyweight Champion, he threw it all down the toilet, on purpose. In both of the Bowe fights he threw them both away. He quit on his stool against Grant, and quit against Tyson.

What a strange dude he was.

Is he still fighting? The last fight I saw him in was the win over Mike Mollo.

(I just rewatched the "Legendary Nights" on Bowe/Golota and it got me thinking.)
He's been more stable in his comeback, just too bad he could not hadle himself in the first part of his career, cause hes badly faded now and lost his last fight after getting knocked down and then hurting his arm in a way and he could not continue...maybe he can have one last fight...with someone like Rid**** Bowe to end his career.

Nah,don't agree on Tyson,Mike would have KO'd him in my view but whatever,it turned out he had something in his brain and could have died if he continued to fight Tyson. He did the right thing.....somewhat.

Yeah, he impressed me against Mollo. I bet on Mollo that night, without knowing piss about him. I just knew he was against a past prime Golota. And I figured if Golota still has the skill to take him, he'd probably do something crazy and get himself DQ'd.

        He looked good that night.

And your prediction of Bowe/Golota III is actually possible. I wonder is Golota would throw low again.......wouldn't that be some ****?

I don't know. Mike had him down in the first, and was looking pretty good, but Mike always had problems with guys who could withstand his early assault. And let's not forget Tyson was past prime as well.

But I see your point as well.

It's just my view, not necessarily what would have happened but I don't think Golota would have resisted more than 5 on that night.

I could see it happening either way. That's usually the second thing I think about when I think of Golota. With the first obviously being the Bowe fights.

This is a bad quality video against a club fighter but it's a pretty impressive performance by a young Andrew Golota.

I just don't know how he wasn't able to become a world champ. He came so close so many times...
