How can you tell if a boxer will have problems with southpaws?

If a boxer has never before faced a southpaw opponent, is it possible to look at his fights against orthodox fighters and judge whether or not he will struggle vs a southpaw?

If he's good with a left hook and bad with the straight right. baaaad.
Roy Jones: left hook much better than straight right.terrible vs Southpaw.
Bernard Hopkins: Good left hook, but excellent straight right. Good versus southpaw

It's also good when you know how to circle.

I think its difficult to tell.

I thought Hatton would do well against leftys, because of the pressure he puts on, but he is terrible against Southpaws.

Fernando Montiel struggles with leftys IMO too.

Bernard Hopkins is king against leftys he has fought many over the years and come out on top majority of the time.

I don't think flaws against orthodox fighters neccessarily means that the fighter will have problems against southpaws, it's hard to say until he actually steps into the ring with one.

Left's are just difficult in any sport because they are the minority. Boxer's rarely see lefty's in any walk of life. Heck even at work or school its a bit of a shock when u meet a lefthander.

Yea Bernard says he went thru tough **** earlier on in his career(I guess training as well) and as a result is good against southpaws.

            btw...I'm left-handed lol.
