Great fight. Its hard for people to be objective on the board these days. I like Berto but could understand if he lost. It was that Close. I watched it again and still 114 113 Berto

5th was pretty close. Berto controlled the tempo, while Collazo landed the better shots overall. He landed some nice straight lefts and then hit the body some plus some hooks. It just wasn't as consistent as the other rounds.

Round 6 was similar, but Berto actually landed more of his shots and did well for the first two minutes or so unitl Collazo caught up. I scored Round 6 for Berto because he did the better work in the first two minutes, however that was the cloest round in the fight.

Collazo was eating him up in that round it wasn't even close, Berto was completely ineffective and Collazo was landing clean to the head and body.

Just cause he was on the ropes doesen't mean the other guy automatically gets the round.
trust me, watch the 7th round again. thats the round where Collazo basically took the round off and barely threw anything, it was a very clear Berto round.

the 6th is probebly the one youre talking about, and while Collazo did counter effectively, there wasnt a huge amount of power behind a lot of his punches(although a lot of those shots were very clean), and he only countered off the ropes for a portion of the round. the first minute of the round Berto was boxing effectively from the outside and landed a few good punches when he threw combinations...but in the end it was a pretty big uppercut that he landed toward the end of the round that tipped the scale for Berto, in my opinion.
that was the closest round of the fight for me.

I'll have to watch again. I know Collazo took that one round off clearly that Lederman gave him but otherwise I agreed with Lederman on every single round.

Exactly robbery is SantaCruz-Casamayor this fight was just like JMM-Pac some rounds were so close it's hard to argue with someone giving the round to eithier fighter! I had it Berto 114-113. Let's hope there is a rematch it would be nice to see a rematch on say the pac-Hatton fight undercard but we know that won't happen. Imagine a card with Cunningham-Adamek,Bute-Andrade,Berto-Collazo and Pac-Hatton. If they hyped that with a 24/7 spotlighted on all fighters and the first fights it would bring a new spin to 24/7 and really would get hype and you know it wouldn't disappoint. I can dream right?

It was definitly a grest fight, but the right man got the decision. **** that judge that scored the fight 116-111, he's an asswhole. Berto won, but as Collazo stated 114-113 was a great score.

Yeah you must be dreaming to think HBO would ever deliver a packed card like that.

What happened? Did Pac scramble your brains and leave you looking like Diaz in your avatar?

I made the 6th an even round. Very tough to judge

In the end i had the fight a draw. I still think the point deduction was bogus, but it happens. The fight could be scored 114-113 either way or a draw.

I have no problem with Berto getting the nod. There will be a rematch most likely and i'm very happy about that.

just rewatched the 5th and Im standing behind my choice for that round. it was probebly the slowest of the fight...not saying much...but neither of them landed that much. but most of Collazo's left hands were actually pushed away with a shoulder roll, and I saw a few clean right hands, a left hook and 1 or 2 clean jabs land for Berto, which won him the round for me.

round 7 was probebly the most one sided round of the night for Berto, Collazo only threw around 30 punches from my estimation.
