    True.

He'll make a positive comment, something we already know, once in a while - but he'll always try to discredit the European fighters.

    Examples:

    - After Hatton KOed Castillo, Max was quick to say "Castillo was a shot fighter"
    - Tonight Max claimed "most people" thought Collazo won his fight with Hatton
    - Max said Calzaghe had "slower handspeed than a shot Trinidad"
    - Max said Calzaghe was "knocked down in the first round against Eubank"
    - Max went on and on for weeks in his radio program about how Hopkins was robbed against Calzaghe
    - Wlad & Vitali "the heavyweight division would be better off without the Klitschkos" Max said on ESPN in 2006
    - Max still talks about Tszyu's win over Judah being a bad stoppage, he wrote several articles about it for months afterwards. Here's one of them:

Kellerman compliments Calzaghe as long as there isn't an American in the ring.

There was an American in the ring,Berto but Calzaghe wasn't fighting him I don't know how anyone can discredit a compliment, it wasn't back handed. Max was talking about Joe and his will/adaptability that helped win him the fight against Kesller.

Dude, what does Berto have to do with what I said? Bottom line is Kellerman acts like a c*nt half the time. He is supposed to be unbiased because he is merely a commentator / interviewer. Only he's rubbish.

Yes, Kellerman paid Calzaghe a compliment, but there was a Danish fighter in the ring with him.

Seriously, check out Kellerman during the Jones-Calzaghe fight. Listen to how many times Kellerman "reminds" us all that Jones isn't in his prime, as though he's the only person on Earth who realizes it. Clearly he is having a dig at Calzaghe from start to finish, and you don't even need to be a Joe fan to notice it. The guy is majorly irritating.

I didn't watch the Calzaghe fight with the HBO commentators on it. I will check that out. In the mean time you need to realize how much of a Jones fan Kellerman is. Roy is not in his prime so that wasn't a lie, repeating it over and over again was probably him just trying to justify the beating Roy was receiving.

My main complaint vs Kellerman is he is all about hype, he knows his **** so I wish he would just be straight with us on air but he always chooses to exaggerate to highten the drama its boring Max, boxing fans are not dubasses, tell it like it is.

He really annoys me with how he always mentions about how great of a fight a match is, WHILE it is going on. I mean c'mon now Max, we're frickin watching it, you don't have to tell us how great it is. I think it's just another way of saying what the last poster was talking about with "hype."

He did it at least three times tonight.

Kellerman always goes over the top when talking about his fav fighters it does become a little bit annoying at times.

                      Good post.

Bottom line is, Kellerman doesn't like European fighters, and he goes over the top in nuthugging his favorite American boxers like Williams.
