How would you feel if this happened to you?

Before I describe the scenario, I would like to say that I am as yet undecided as to whether to reveal the person in question's name, so I will not confirm or deny any suggestions.

    Check it.

Someone...prominent from the boxing world contacted me via Private Message, and offered to send me some goodies and ****. I responded, expressing my surprise and gratitude at such a gesture. I told this person that I knew someone from America for whom it would be easier to send the goodies to, as opposed to sending them to me, all the way directly in England.

Curiously...this person never responded to my PM. So I sent a follow up one a few weeks later, asking if the offer was still open? Again...no response. Then, I sent a final.....and yep, nothing again.

I have checked this person's profile, and yep, they have been active since that date. In fact, they were online yesterday.

Now, on the off-chance that they don't read their private messages....I found them on Facebook, and sent them a message on there. Not a Friend Request, just a simple..."hey, I'm from this boxing website where you offered me some goodies, I dunno if you've read my response, etc.."

    AGAIN, no response.

Now, I know you're thinking that it's a bit stalkerish of me to find their Facebook. Well, it's not that I stalked them, or was so desperate for the goodies....I'm just really curious why they never responded to me.

I mean, THEY made the FIRST contact, OFFERING. I didn't ask at all.

And then to never hear from them again, not even to say something like "hey, I'm too busy right now, hope you don't take offence"..

well, I dunno. It just seems lacking to me. I don't even really want to reveal their name, because I'm not a vindictive person and I don't want to bismerch their reputation.

I just feel a bit disappointed, I guess. Am I right to?

The kid in me was SO excited about receiving some cool as hell boxing goodies....only them to be given the silent treatment.

    How do you see it?

Btw, this all started months ago. So...yeah, I don't think I'm getting ****

    Oh, well.

I think you should actually pony up the cash for boxing goodies like the rest of us.

Oh and I also think I'd eat that ass in your avatar for hours.

It's not that I want free goodies. It's just pretty disappointing to be offered them, and them...to not hear anything ever again.

      Not about the money.

Well in that case, I think you shouldn't take things said by users on a boxing forum so seriously. Most of these users are like 13 year olds with skin conditions.
