Pacquiao is getting greedy and losing some of my respect. On pure boxing merit he can justify 60-40, but boxing is a business and he is only worth 50% at most. Surely Pacquiao can see that Hatton is being the bigger man and giving him what he wants without being silly. If this is an issue of pride then Pacquiao has won, but he is getting into the 'acting like a spoilt *****' territory if he won't accept it.

Absolutely, it can be flipped, but I don't see a problem. All of them are getting greedy! If it was me, I'd say "sure, take 60%, I'll kick your ass anyway" ... or something equally tough-sounding.

The fight is worthtaking, even if Hatton was to get 40%. It's his chance for a crack at the #1 P4P.

I can agree to that, but when you boil the facts down and everyone puts there cards, coins, crisps, chewing gum and marbles on the table, 50-50 is a fair split for this fight when you consider what both fighters bring, to this fight.

If anything it should be a 60:40 split in Hatton's favor or even bigger. The difference in drawing power is really quite substantial.

Id be willing to bet money that if Pacquiao and Hatton walk down the street in every major US city, more people will ask for Hatton's autograph than Pacquiao's.

The simply fact of the matter is this; Pacquiao is a superstar in the Filipino community, where as Ricky Hatton is a superstar in the Global community. Hatton not only brings more money to the table, but he brings the most enthusiastic fans on the planet to the table.

A 60:40 split for Hatton would be more lucrative for Manny than a 70:30 against any fighter in the world.

Add in the fact that a win over Hatton would setup the most lucrative future paydays for Manny, and he would have to absolutely insane not to take the fight.

Even if he takes the fight for free, it would be better for him in the long run. Without a win over Hatton, he has no chance of baiting Floyd out of retirement.
