          mosley

to me this fight is no brainer. margarito's pressure will be too much for shane to handle at this stage of his career. aging fighters have a tendency to fade down the stretch and shane has been doing that. after watching shane fight mayorga you could see the deteriation of shane's skills. why do you think margarito's people picked him to fight????

yes, shane has power but not enough to discourage margarito. it will be a good fight because shane is a warrior who will go out on his shield.

shane is slowly but surely becoming a gatekeeper for the welterweight division; he is taking zab's spot.

after this fight, margarito give paul williams another shot..

I don't really get his point, even if Margarito didnt beat him with

skill he still did some thing that Mosley couldnt against Cotto, WIN.

i dont get it...Margarito won because he landed lots of big shots from round 1...constantly and relentlessly. He kept coming, even if he 'looked' like he was being outboxed, that was his gameplan, once he saw that Cotto couldnt use all his power by hitting him while going backwards, he was just focused on hitting him as hard as he could.

Already from round 2 you could see Cotto worried after a big body shot. When he was in the corner, he was very confident he would stop him sooner or later. He didnt overcome him only in the last 2 rounds, it was a methodical demolition.

                  lol

No one is arguing wether or not Margi landed big punches, it's pretty clear he did (hence the stoppage). But Mosely is right, in the case of Cotto and Margi, Cotto is by far the more skilled.

For people who don't get what Mosely is trying to say here, it's simple. He's saying that Margi isn't "skilled", so he doesn't have to worry about his skill. He's saying Margi's durability, relentlessness and will is what overcame his bout with cotto, but not skill.

The arguement here that's missed, is Mosley could very well be saying the same "skill" that cotto has over margi, he too (mosley) posesses.. the difference being that he won't succumb to margis pressure like cotto did. Atleast, that's the point I think he's trying to get across.

Mosely will clinch, alot. By the way. If he "out classes" margi in the fashion cotto did before fatigue and punishment set in, then he wins relatively easy because he will utilize his clinch to carry some pressure moments of the round out, unlike cotto.. who refused to clinch thus had to fight every second of every round with no breaks other than post/pre round intervals.

I dont know what to make of this fight...One side is telling me that

the reason why he looked gunshy at points with Cotto, was

because of Cotto's boxing skill. Yet at the same time Shane is also 37.

I don't see that being an issue with Margarito but will Shane wear

himself out trying to cave Margs head in? Remains to be

seen...One things for sure, I don't see Shane getting KO'd, period.
