  • Shane Mosley: "Margarito Beat Cotto With Heart, Not Skill"

"Sugar" Shane Mosley has his own take on the biggest win of Antonio Margarito's career, which was last July's eleventh-round knockout of previously undefeated Miguel Cotto. He doesn't feel that Margarito is a better fighter than Cotto. He doesn't believe that Margarito beat Cotto with the use of skill. He says Margarito was able to win the fight with his heart by breaking Cotto down in the last two rounds of the contest. [details]

Well, I don't understand a point Mosly is trying to make. Margarito defeated Cotto by outwilling him, not with his skill. That's right. So what's the point? It's true that boxing is about skill, but I believe that it is so as much as it is about will also.

Exactly, the fact of the matter is Mosley couldn't outwill or outskill Cotto.

So what is he trying to say?
