Mr. Marley also is adamant that they've tried to make other big fights, as well, including one that may surprise you.

"Recently, Chad Dawson turned down a catch weight fight on HBO for March 14 [the date that wound up being Dawson-Tarver II] against Kessler. Kessler agreed to fight at 170, 171 or even 172 pounds but Gary Shaw rejected that even as we agreed to possibly fighting Dawson in his home state of Connecticut.

"About this time, Gary put out the statement that 'Dawson will fight anyone at 175 pounds.'"

    ****ing ****** ass Gary Shaw.

Kessler's team also said they wouldn't fight Dawson cause he's a Cruiserweight. Whatever that means.

    So who's right?

It wasn't Kessler's team, I think it was his promoter or manager, one of those two. Had Dawson agreed to the fight the fight would of happened. Also Gary Shaw didn't want Dawson fighting at catchweights, his stubbornness is what ruined this matchup. Oh well we get to see lame ass Dawson-Tarver II.

Kessler-Dawson sounds good, but I doubt Kessler would take it.

And Dawson would have went to court to battle against Tarver for not honoring their rematch clause. I am sure that Kessler's team knew this and just made the offer knowing that it was going to get turned down. Kind of like a few years ago when Felix Trinidad announced that he was leaving 147 and then Shane Mosley all of a sudden decides to call him out. The fight was not going to happen due to the rematch clause. It is like when Rahman knocked out Lewis, he wanted to fight Mike Tyson, but he had the rematch clause which the courts ordered him to fight Lennox or pay step aside money which he wasn't going to accept like Tarver won't.

First, Dawson is a natural cruiserweight so fighting at 175 is hard enough as it is for him, fighting at a lower catchweight will just make it that much harder. and 2nd, Tarver executed his rematch clause so Dawson's hands were tied. How about they wait until Dawson gets their rematch over with before asking for a fight. and besides, Kessler still has business to take care of at 168. He hasn't exactly cleaned out that division. there are plenty of fights for him at smw before he starts looking elsewhere.

I don't believe that article. I'm not calling you a liar at all but i heard Shaw state in an interview( its on youtube i think) that's he would be more than willing to make the Kessler fight happen and later that same week, i read in a Danish article that Kessler's promoter stated that Dawson was too big. Do we really think that Kessler would be willing to fight Dawson in New Haven? Hes never even fought in U.S before. I just don't buy it.

You cant blame a fighter for not taking catchweight fights, thats crazy. Especially below their weight class.
We could also accuse Kessler of ducking a 175 pound match with Dawson.
                  See the point?

That statement exposes you as a hater. Dawson easily beat someone just like Kessler only bigger in Adamek 5 fights ago, but he's going to avoid Kessler, right? Let's see what they do Chad a fight after Dawson beats Tarver again.
