I had a friend return from a busniess trip to Hong Kong... he said basketball courts were littered with little Chinese kids wearing Lebron James jerseys. I think it depends on the area which star is bigger, but considering China is not known as really a boxing nation, and the fact that they make up 88% of the world population, I'd say James is bigger worldwide.

Most people in the UK wouldn't know who Lebron James or Wlad are. If your talking about current global superstars you would have to say David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka. Those players especially Beckham would go to any country in the world and be recognised, actually Beckham gets ****d everytime he goes China.
