In the Philippines, basketball is the #1 sport not boxing, even though Pacquiao is HUGE over there.

Here in Canada, hockey is by far the most popular sport - perhaps more popular than all other sports combined.

Makes sense but with a population of 8, er I mean 30 million it's so small worldwide.

I think I've seen that many people in a subway in Tokyo.

          Beautiful country however.

Jesus Christ man! Your grasp of numbers is appalling!

The biggest global superstar is Fedor Emilianenko. Wlad is up near the top too.
You are delusional Tunney.Fedor, while huge in Japan and South Korea can walk down the street in most other coutries (and that includes his native Russie) and not be recognized.
(edit:you've heard of Lebron,Tunney,I'm sure of that)

The biggest sports star in Japan isn't even Fedor, but probably the baseball player Suzuki Ichiro.

Most people in the UK wouldn't know who Lebron James or Wlad are. If your talking about current global superstars you would have to say David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka. Those players especially Beckham would go to any country in the world and be recognised, actually Beckham gets ****d everytime he goes China.
