So the last thing Pacquiao is... is greedy. Hatton doesn't even come near top 5 of best p4p. The reason I only hear is that he brings in most of his british fans. True, yet it also depends on who he fights. So he needs Pac to help bring in his own supporters. According to Marc Jonathan E. de Jesus of Philboxing.com, its simply out of respect. He says "Do you think Cavs owner Dan Gilbert would pay Lebron James (the best player in the NBA) the same exact salary as Yao Ming (the 6th best player in the NBA), just because he brings the China market with him?? " I don't think so! So please... if you have any better reason to why Pacquiao should accept the 50/50 aside from just wanting to see the fight and Hatton brings in his so called thousands of supporters, don't say anything because your'e disrespecting someone who's on top. Pacquiao paid his dues... its time for Boxing to pay him back. I personally don't care if this fight doesn't pull through because its about respect and pride. I would not want to see Pacquiao getting punked by suits off the ring as well as in the ring.

Also, do anyone have credible sources for Hatton's numbers? Please post
Im with you. Its about pride. Pac won't eat his pride chicken..lol

He is not greedy. He just want respect.

If you only knew how much money he is pouring into the depress area in his country. If you only knew how many hospitals and schools he is sponsoring for the poor people of his country. If you only knew how many thousands of poor people he is feeding every day... then no one in his right objective mind will say the Pacquiao is greedy.

That's all folks. My 2 cents.

for you a fight is two fighters getting beat up and brawl to the max.

For him is his food on the table and his job. He trying to get most out of it.

It is natural that everybody want to get paid more in his job.

He doesnt have to worry about food!

He would have got so much money out of this fight even if he only got 50%.

What other fight will generate that much money for him? A win over Hatton would garentee even bigger paydays in the future and even tempt Floyd into a super match.

I have lost a little respect, because he would of got paid enough and i thought he was a fighters fighter.
Great fighters legacys have suffered for not agreeing on money issues.

          Shame on you Pac.

Well it appears to be settled now. I think Manny lets people get in his ear. With what Hatton brings in terms of being no. 1 at 140, bringing a massive travelling fan base and in terms of PPV numbers it had to be 50-50 an anybody who thought or thinks different has there head up there arse frankly lmao

I am fan of Pacman inside the ring but not a fan of his decision making skills. Manny needs the 10% for the upcoming 2010 election -> the only fight I want him to loss.

Its not greedy to ask for what you think you deserve.

Its easy for you guys to say those **** about him coz you're not the one putting your life on the line inside the ring.

Hatton vs Malinaggi UK PPV = 200,000 buys, $30/buy

Pacman vs Diaz US PPV = 250,000, $50/buy

Pac doubles what Hatton's fight have generated in terms of PPV sales.

With this simple comparison, is 50-50 split fare for Pac?

there's a massive difference between what people think they deserve and what they actualy deserve.

Historically in Boxing and every other business in teh world, the buy bringing the most assets to the table gets the bigger spoils.

For fans thats accomplishments and in an Ideal world pac-man gets 60/40, however in the really real world it's money not accomplishments that matter and Hatton brings more money to the table than pac-man.

Hatton is an honourable guy and wants the fight, he gave up his advantage in money as a mark of respect to pac-mans accomplishments, and pac-man got choise of venue and time, All pacman has to do is meet him in the middle by acknowledging that Hatton has moved towards him from the business perspective to give the fans what they want.

Time for Pacman to show he's the fighter his fans say he is, not a greedy twat and sign the contract.
