Give him time! He says he wants a rematch eventually, he's just not ready yet.

Khan will stick to boxing. He has Roach in his corner and Pac as a sparring partner. He's not going to be the amateurish idiot who led with his chin against Prescott again.

Why would Khan fight guy who ko'd him in the first round, just 1 fight after he fought him? That would be incredibly ******.

          Think before you post.

He has been dropped by some featherfisted guys in the past.

unless barerra got old over night and is completely washed up, there is no way other than cheating how he can lose this fight. barerra's experience alone is enough to beat khan, all barerra has to do is get into shape, you know he has the skill, the experience, the heart, the will and the drive, not only that, he has mad Mexican Pride, which will not denied.

it's a bad move on warren's part to try and put khan in against barerra, he is probably still bitter that barerra basically retiring hamed. warren needs to get someone else who wasn't starched by guy who just a fraction of the experience barerra does. barerra has more KO's than khan and the guy who knocked him out has wins combined...................

this is a fight that will make or break khan, more than likely break him......... if khan loses, especially by ko, his career is going to be in oblivion .

Boy o boy alot of you are giving this Amir Kahn fella alot of credit...the man was just iced in one round by a guy nobody had ever heard of and now almost instantly he is stepping into a fight with MAB...a guy that many of you are calling shot? What?

What fight tells you that MAB is shot? If you watch he rematch with Pac he certainly isnt anywhere near the MAB of old but the man still has very quick hands, takes an incredible shot and is ring savvy as they get...so Kahn has what adavantage? What youth?

Again MAB is not in prime form but to imply he is a shot fighter...what fight suggests that Barerra is shot?

this fight smells funny to me...does Warren believe in his overhyped superstar? If he really did wouldnt he get him a few more fights...or is this a lets take the money while we can because if Kahn decides to fight a couple more tune ups the chances of him getting exposed again are 50-50...

Nothing that I have seen suggest to me that Kahn beats Barerra...MAB wins in a fashion of his choosing.

Barrera at this stage is still dangerous even if he's nowhere near what he once was! i expect him to win by controlling the pace of the fight making Khan get too aggressive getting out of position and being hit with great Barrera counter shots. i think Barrera wins this by TKO!

Barrera certainly isn't shot, but he's well past his peak, and he is not a natural Lightweight, and he's a small lightweight, whereas Khan is a large lightweight. Warren has a track record for making fights like this, where his prospect faces a faded legend who looks better on paper than he looks in the ring. He's done it many times before. Warren doesn't make fights based on his personal feelings, he's too much of a businessman for that. I doubt very much whether bitterness has anything to do with this. I believe Warren is confident because Roach is confident.

Roach believes he has transformed Khan and that Khan has too much reach, too much speed, and too good a jab for Barrera at this stage of Barrera's career. Khan didn't use his jab properly before he teamed up with Roach, and didn't get coached properly, but Roach thinks he's got an incredible jab, and Pac also rates Khan highly based on his sparring. Khan also had never learnt how to use the correct stance, or how to block or roll with punches, or to keep his chin tucked in, before he teamed up with Roach, and Roach says he's been working on those things. Roach has also transformed Khan's body, moving a lot of his poundage from his upper body to his legs.

Roach could have miscalculated, but I have a lot of respect for his opinion, and because of that, I would be keen to bet on Khan if anyone is interested.
