I think if Arum had been properly briefed by Pac, and had gone into the negotiations knowing that Pac wouldn't accept 50/50, Hatton would have swallowed his pride and they'd have cut a deal. But to let Arum agree a deal on his behalf, on the understanding that Arum had full authority to negotiate, and then a few weeks after the deal was agreed, to say no to it, made Hatton feel he was just being taken for a ride, and in those circumstances, I can understand why Hatton would not be willing to agree to a new deal.

Which looks like is what will happen. Neither actually needs the other, but it's terrible for boxing that this has happened, and I blame Pac for not communicating properly with his own promoter.

Because aside from Pacquiao, there's nothing else... Let's take a look at his options: Bradley/Holt, there not big enough...
Bradley-Holt vs. Hatton would be huge in the UK, and Hatton would earn a fortune for that fight. He can continue to dominate the division and make good money. He doesn't need this fight, and although he badly wants it, I don't think he wants it badly enough to let himself be messed around as he sees it.

I know dude, I just thought it was good idea. Winner gets the bigger cut, doesnt that give more drive for each fighter.

If Floyd Snr was in Hatton's corner it would be easy to sell, plus Hatton doesn't fight nearly as well at 147 as he does at 140.

Didn't Pac actually verbally agree to 50/50 to Arum some time ago too, then later change his mind post ODL?

I heard and read that on here for one a few times.

I'm not Arum's biggest fan but I don't think he'd be so ****** as to firmly say 50/50's ok with absolutely zero sign that could actually go ahead. 50/50 is a fair deal.

Hatton vs Bradley would be a total waste of time in the long term, Sky Box office might shift a few PPV's but the americans wouldnt touch it on PPV, then Mayweather might take the pac fight before Hatton, and if mayweather wins that fight (he should), then Hatton really doesnt have anywhere to go, unless he wants to lose to floyd again.

I sure hope you're right, but I'm not convinced ... I think Hatton feels he's been messed around and that's why he won't budge.

pacquiao deserves to get more money, hes the new oscar de la hoya, hes the main attraction.everybody wants a fight with pac, even margarito, i dont see anyone lining up to face hatton. if it doesnt happen, he can wait for the winner of the JMM-juan diaz fight and it'll be a major PPV event regardless of who wins, especially if its a third fight with marquez,i'd rather see that one instead of the hatton fight.

ricky should just keep fightin in the UK and retire over there,he doesnt deserve 50-50 with pac,he hasnt done have the things manny has acclomplished
