Heard it from Pavlik. Everytime he'd try to throw a punch B-Hop would move to the side of clinch.

I think I've heard Tarver say that after 5-6 fights. Someone needs to tell him that outside of one punch that he landed on a shot Roy, he's never been able to get off on any night.

I often wonder if guys know going into the fight that they are gonna put up a poor effort.

When I used to play basketball there would be 20 games in the season and inevitably there would be 3-4 where I just didn't have my legs and felt a little sluggish........

There wasn't really any rhyme or reason to it since practice was always the same and games were always a couple days apart. On those days I would know before the game I didn't have my legs and would have to play smart.

If I were a boxer and went to the Arena on fight night and felt that my body wasn't quite up for 12 rounds despite all my preparation I think it would be a very scary feeling. Knowing you are not 100% will lead you to fight conservatively and hope to survive without being embarrassed.

For instance in the Tarver/Dawson fight I think early on Antonio knew he just didn't have it in him to keep up with Chad. So instead of fighting hard and hoping for the best he simply closed down shop in hopes of fighting another day.
