Good to see Moorer is staying involved with boxing in a non-fighting capacity, I think he'd make a pretty good trainer, he had some insightful things to say when he was on ESPN.

Wasn't Moorer always known for being temperamental and uncooperative in the gym (hence the break from Kronk, etc.)? Just about the last person I'd expect to be picked up for this kind of position.

Maybe he's changed his bad habits.

I don't think a slurring trainer inspires confidence.

I haven't heard Moorer slur, he sounded find during the Urango-Vilches fight.

that guy was a headcase and i doubt he has changed much. i watched him reflect on the foreman fight on an HBO thing and he looked like he was going to kill someone for even giving foreman any credit whatsoever

Yeah, I saw that as well. That was the episode of "Legendary Nights" about Foreman/Moorer. He even took a shot at George's grill saying something about if he would've "ducked one more time" that they would've ended up selling Michael Moorer grills instead.

                    Strange cat.

And even during his career he was headstrong and hard to work with. Teddy Atlas really had to ride his ass just to get him to do his training.

That said, he was a great Light Heavyweight. Much better than he was at Heavy IMO.
