Prescott has a lot of power in his hands, Barrera doesnt, hes gonna have to rely on his boxing skills and when matched up with Amir Khan hes just not good enough, I do say to redeem himself he should fight Prescott, kinda odd that their going with Barrera in an awkward match up instead a rematch. But yes Prescott right now is better than Barrera.

Let's see how smart Frank Warren is... if Barrera is shot as some people think, he will look like a genius, because Barrera is a big name and will get the critics off Khan's back for a while. If he has some left, Khan is in trouble, and this will set him back a lot if he drops his second match in three bouts.
It doesn't matter how shot Barrera is he's still too much for Kahn. Kahn just got knocked out by a hand picked bum.

I'm actually pretty sick of people pretending Barrera is shot to bits. He came damn close to beating JMM, then lost a fight to Paquiao in large part because his corner was giving him terrible advice and misinformation.

He didn't look particularly bad in either fight, especially the Pacquiao fight which many people are trying to distort. The fight wasn't an epic ass-whooping by any stretch the imagination. Quite the opposite. Barrera had Pac confused and was outboxing him for most of the fight, he simply didn't do enough to win rounds. People seem to forget that when they did get into exchanges, Barrera got the better of them.

At Lightweight Prescott could be compared to Esteban De Jesus who knocked down and defeated Roberto Duran.

Yeah, but there was a long layoff, and he apparently didn't look very good in China.

I agree, the Barrera that lost to Pacquiao the second time whips Khan. He is not as shot as Morales, but that is what people generally make him out to be, which is weird...

I made a thread a while ago that Roach is overrated. He left Hopkins and Vazquez, and surprise, surprise, he started winning. His best fighter is Pacquiao, which is very impressive, and his second best fighter is... ... uhh ... yeah, I'm not sure.

Are u seriously comparing Kahn to Margarito.
Margarito has faced serious opposition(cotto, clottey, citron) and even though he lost in no way should he even be compared to Kahn!

Roach did a lot with James Toney...basically brought him back from the dead earlier this decade. He built Vanes up pretty well. He's not a one trick wonder, but yeah Vazquez is better without Roach. Training is hit and miss. Even the great ones miss with some fighters.

Yeah, I didn't remember Toney when I made the thread, and I was forced to eat my words a bit, but I do think that he is pretty overrated.

De La Hoya was worse off with him as well. He just doesn't seem to have a lot of variety in his advice, and it works for some fighters, but it's ineffective for most.
