I'm sure that's on his mind, but Barrera (though probably past his best) can not only box, he can slug. He has plenty of KO's on his record. For a guy that recently got smoked quickly and brutally by a lower tier fighter, this could be a bad combination of attributes to face in future a HoFer.

You believing that Roach is being genuine when he hypes up Khan is the real ignorance here. Of course he's going to say he's his trainer let's just wait and see what Roach says after he's fired when Kahn gets KTFO again.

You've listed Haye in your favourite fighters. Haye has a weak chin. Chin isn't everything.

Why would someone with Roach's reputation as one of the three best trainers in the world take on someone he believed was a no-hoper? He can pick and choose any fighter he wants, with his reputation. He wouldn't waste his time with someone he didn't think he could take to the top. And he said that if DLH beat Pac, he wouldn't take his trainer's fee, so he's not driven by money and he's willing to put his money where his mouth is. And he said that in his opinion, Pac couldn't beat a peak DLH, and he also said Pac couldn't beat Margarito, or Cotto, and that he would only let Pac fight Mayweather at catchweight, not at 147 - his track record is for being brutally honest, not for hyping his fighters.

take a chill pill haters. amir khan indeed has one of the best trainers by his side. he's got the speed and power. he's got the youth, the size advantage, the hunger. he will definately do to barrera what pacquiao did to de la hoya.

Jones has a weak chin, but no-one realised it until Tarver and Johnson knocked him out, because he never got hit cleanly. Hopkins' chin has never really been tested because he never gets hit flush. Khan's tactics before he teamed up with Roach were pathetic, but Roach says he has an incredible jab (so does Pacquiao, based on their sparring sessions), which he never used properly before he joined Roach. Khan also didn't used to keep his chin tucked in, or use the correct stance (which has a lot to do with how well you take punches), and he didn't learn how to roll with punches, all things that Roach has been working on. Also, under Roach, Khan has transferred a lot of his body mass from his upper body to his legs - his legs used to be spindly, and they are much sturdier now, and his back is now a lot less muscle-bound and more flexible.

Everything depends on whether Roach can teach Khan the art of defence. Roach clearly thinks he can.

Also, Haye's only chance of beating Vitali, if they ever meet, is to box him.

he's got a fair chance, he's fast and getting smarter, using his defence. but realistically, he's still young and barrera got the size and the experience i think. i donno.. i feel Amir by KO, but not a sure feeling.
