Bernard Hopkins Waiting To Land One Last Career Fight

Bernard hopkins has had a great carrer and has nothing to prove to anyone. He has held his own with the best in the sport for the last 20 years(maybe more). I think if he retires now it would be the best time but what do you say to a guy who fights the best fighters in the world and ducks no one (except retirement). If Joe doesn't want a rematch, who cares? B-hop has done enough for the sport, not to have to look for fights. Its not like Joe knocked him out( our even came close) our even did enough to win the fight. Real boxing fans know B-hop is the last of the real raw boxers and anything he does from here own out is extra icing on the cake.
Oh and the last thing I want to say is, the only guy with something left to prove is joe calzage. If he is retired and if this is were he calls it quits. so long joe you will not be missed, slap punching, pitty patting and fighting guys past there prime won't get you on anybodys all time greatest list( except maybe the all time overated list).Comment

I would like to see Hopkins - Calzaghe 2 but i don't see it happening, Calzaghe is not interested.
Hopkins - Jones 2 is pointless imo, Jones is past it and Hopkins knows this which is why he isn't taking the fight. He would get no credit for it.
Hopkins - Taylor 3 is pointless again imo, They already fought twice and even though i thought Hopkins deserved the win the second time around Taylor won both fights, Even if Hopkins won a third fight he would still be 1-2 against Taylor.
That leaves Hopkins with Kessler and Dawson, He said he doesn't want to fight Dawson and by the looks of things a fight with Kessler doesn't interest him which then basically leaves him with no meaningful fights this year.Comment

his next fight (either joe or JT) will definitely be his last I believe...I'm sure he wants to end his career before the next decade arrives.. he's fuccin' 44 years old in a sport where at that age one is punch-drunk, retired, and fat... and y should he fight Kessler when he can go after the fighter that beat him and kessler?Comment

Did it take balls to take on undefeated calzaghe at age 42? Did it take balls to take on undefeated pavlik at age 43? Did it take balls to go up two weight classes at age 41 after losing twice to taylor to fight tarver? Answer those questions truthfully.
He's looking to fight Calzaghe then retire. There is a small chance he could fight someone else that MAKES SENSE.
Supposedly he got offered money to fight Kessler in Europe. Again, who is kessler to hopkins? Again, "Kessler is a no name in the states (lowest ratings in the history of HBO boxing was kessler/calzaghe), he lost a fight very easily to calzaghe and has beat no one of note prior or since. Who is kessler to hopkins? He's a slightly better version of pavlik without the name."
And you know it's FACT because it was reported by Team Kessler and Michael Marley (who works for Kessler)? That's you're 100% non-disputable evidence? Thank god you're not a judge.
no. and adamek is the equivalent of fighting kessler......
i bet it won't. beating roy jones, who was just victimized two months ago, makes absolutely no sense at all. as a hopkins fan, i'd be left scratching my head if he signed to fight jones. remember, he said jones should retire after that loss....now to fight him?????
glen johnson deserves nothing other than a mikkel kessler fight...Comment
