Bernard Hopkins is Overrated....

And your argument is flawed. I understand it completely, but it's foolish.
You're arguing that he can't overcome the people who are fast with great reflexes. So despite having close losses to these fighters, some of which people claim he won, he can't overcome it? Do you see what I'm typing here?
If they're his weakness, how does he still do fairly well against them. If those are his only losses, and he still almost wins, and that's his only weakness.... how is he not a legend? Every fighter has weaknesses and the overwhelming majority of fighters, with or without weaknesses end up w/ an L on their resume. It doesn't make some of them not legends.
You made an absurd and outlandish statement and you think you're right. You're simply wrong. Give it up.
this is generally the initial response
to accepting truths that you were unaware of
breath carefully, everything will come into focus
and you will soon be enligtenedComment

I agree, to say he is over-rated is being harsh. I think most people who say this are only thinking of his most recent fights against Calzaghe and Taylor. Both of whom are fantastic athletes so a loss (especially at this age) is nothing to scoff at. Yes he did beat Pavlik but do we really think he is on Joe or Jermain's level of skill? Probably not, skilled and upcoming yes. I can see how people would call B-Hop over-rated since his style is so methodically and a lot of times boring. but when you have a smart fighter who plays the counter and mind games like B then you are going to get those long drawn out sometimes ugly fights that you are going to wish you didn't see, but later appreciate the skill someone like Bernard has because he finds a way to win.Comment

Great post... Hopkins is a master at what he does. However, being a master of your craft doesn't make you God's gift to the sport. Watching Hopkins fight is like watching Piccaso paint, Michelangelo sculpt, or Beethoven compose... You realize you are watching greatness in the making, but the process is JUST BORING!!!!!!!Comment
