Bernard Hopkins is Overrated....

So I'm guessing guys like Muhammad Ali, Marvin Hagler, Ray Robinson, even Ray Leonard ARENT LEGENDS EITHER?? Becuase their style is mad to pick apart 1 dimensional fighters and they've ALL LOST??? This is the worst attempt at a good thread ever.

The only legends left standing, I assume, are Joe Calzaghe and Rocky Marciano.

ok i explained this earlier....
the difference between roy and bernard
and why i said it could go both ways...as far as who is best
it depends on what you like...
to make a long story short

roy = super athletic, lacked fundamentals because his great speed and reflexes karried him always, its not like he COULDN'T box, it's just that he WOULDN'T, roy KNOWS the basics, if u ever listened to him call a fight, he knows all the things you are supposed to do FUNDAMENTALLY, but mentally he wasn't there, he was super athletic

bernard = average to above average athleticism with great boxing fundamentals and skill that increased as he got older

Roy had the dominating performances and the look of a LEGEND during his best years....his recent losses have come at a time when he no longer has reflexes...its simple age, not a speculation, it can be proven scientifically that your reflexes slow down as u get older...roy just didn't have the mentality to change up at the AGE OF 39....he had been using his reflexes for almost 20 years, so asking him to be fundamental and jab and box is just krazy...its not who he was, nor never will be, that doesn't take away from his ability or legendary status, he just got old.....so yes roy should get negativity for being unable to adapt but we must also remember he is no longer at his best at this age hopkins however got better with age....

Bernard is supposedly one of the most intelligent and ring smart guys around, ATG level in that regard for many...however he was unable to apply that same ring intelligence and smartness to defeat the fighters that had physical advantages over him, rather it be speed or great reflexes...i expected more from him and i really thought he would beat Joe or find some kind of way...but he didn't he ran out of answers and got on his bike...i hate that ****...it showed why he was a GREAT fighter that gave calzaghe a good fight but just why he can't be kalled a legend...calzaghe isn't that spectacular himself, i dont consider him a LEGEND but he is also Great, Bernard should have beaten Calzaghe based on the regard and respect everyone has for him....

and to make my point even more
i will use everyone's favorite terms....

PRIME JOE VS PRIME BERNARD = WINNER JOE
PRIME JOE BS PRIME ROY = WINNER ROY
