i agree 50-50 is fair. not that is anywhere near as good tho. but he brings equal money or more so it's def fair. im not sure about pacman but hatton has said they already have another oponent lined up if this one doesnt come off. they said it would still be a big fight and would take place in the uk.Comment

Pac is going to cost himself the biggest payday of his career. Hatton will earn him more then even Mayweather would. Floyd will also DEMAND the bigger cut if he decides to fight again. Pac is lucky that Hatton is even offering a 50% cut.
Pac is getting scared, plain and simple.Comment

Hatton will get 1,500,000 million PPV buys in the UK - £20 X 1,500,000 = £30,000,000 which is $43,000,000
The U.S PPV will get around 700,000 ppv buys - $40 x 700,000 = $28,000,000 which is around $19,000,000
Estimated UK ppv revenue is around $40,000,000
Estimated US ppv revenue is around $20,000,000
So the total ppv purse is around $60,000,000
Now explain how a fighter, can realistically demand a 60-40 split when most of the money is coming from Hattons end. Yes, people from the UK will be more interested in seeing Hattons fight because he is fighting Manny, but if Hatton is not there, no casual fan would pay to watch Pac fight in the UK. And I bet 700,000+ people in the U.S wouldn't pay to watch Manny fight anybody except Oscar, Mayweather, or Hatton.
This fight should be a 50-50. Anything else is an injustice to either fighter.
Pretty much it. Pacman's lawyer is taking the piss.Comment

Is this a deal breaker?
Not only is Hatton at least as big a draw if not bigger, but he's also the 140 lb champion. 50-50 is a fair deal and for Pacquiao and his supporters to demand more than 50-50 is just petty. Do you really want to make this issue a deal breaker? Seriously fellas, is this really a deal breaker!?! Hatton is the champion and his fans will travel en masse for this fight. Is this really a deal breaker???
I mean I understand that some of you think Pacquiao is the greatest thing since sliced bread and he is unqstionably great for boxing, but does he really want to blow up the biggest fight scheduled for the first half of the year? I just don't see how a rational person could think this is a legitimate deal breaker. I respect his right to want as much money as possible, but he's not the champion and Hatton is arguably a bigger draw. Does Pacquiao really want to throw this fight away over something so petty as percentage points? It's going to be about $15 mil. Why walk away from that over principle!?! It's not like it's some epic injustice.Comment

If he was going to ask for that he should have done so at the start of the negotiations. According to Arum, Pac agreed to 50/50 and then reneged on the agreement. In those circumstances you can't blame Hatton's camp for refusing to budge. If Pac doesn't back down he'll lose his biggest payday - whether you think that's fair or not is irrelevant, that's just business.Comment
