I find it interesting Arum is strongly still on the side of Hatton as to 50-50, and especially Roach. I have a lot of respect for Roach infact he's my favourite trainer, and he's shown his class and lack of bias in saying his fighter should accept 50-50. Hopefully all of these things will be enough to make Manny realise this is the best fight out there for him. His first fight at 140 against the top guy, a big name, earner, draw with a belt to win not lose, 50-50 is fair.
My feelings exactly. Plus it's significant that Arum is saying that Pac himself verbally agreed to the 50/50, then reneged. If Arum isn't lying then Pac has no right to change the rules after agreeing to them.

Not only is Hatton at least as big a draw if not bigger, but he's also the 140 lb champion. 50-50 is a fair deal and for Pacquiao and his supporters to demand more than 50-50 is just petty. Do you really want to make this issue a deal breaker? Seriously fellas, is this really a deal breaker!?! Hatton is the champion and his fans will travel en masse for this fight. Is this really a deal breaker???

I mean I understand that some of you think Pacquiao is the greatest thing since sliced bread and he is unquestionably great for boxing, but does he really want to blow up the biggest fight scheduled for the first half of the year? I just don't see how a rational person could think this is a legitimate deal breaker. I respect his right to want as much money as possible, but he's not the champion and Hatton is arguably a bigger draw. Does Pacquiao really want to throw this fight away over something so petty as percentage points? It's going to be about $15 mil. Why walk away from that over principle!?! It's not like it's some epic injustice.

For the same reason that he did with DLH. Hatton brings more money to the table than anyone else in boxing.

so if say someone like vernon forrest, who got crowned p4p #1 after beating an undefeated mosley twice ask for a 60 - 40 share to fight oscar at oscars prime, you would tell me forrest deserves a 60- 40 share vs oscar

by the way, forrest lost his #1 p4p status after his next fight vs mayorga kicked his ass

being p4p #1 doesnt always mean youre the best, it might mean youre just overated or a very good fighter,

I doubt either have a backup plan. This is just ******. 50-50 is fair. This is the best fight for both of them because it's very winnable and a huge money fight that people really want to see. Pacquiao needs to take 50-50. He's not the champion.

No, this is about money. Hatton brings the money to the table. What you think of his boxing ability is completely irrelevent. Plus it seems Pac agreed to the deal and then reneged. When Pac's own trainer and promoter are saying he's in the wrong and should take the deal, you should take notice of what they say. Don't you have any respect for Roach?

You can accuse Pac of many things, but he is certainly not a coward.
