tyson was known by everyone in the 80's to now and jordan the same.

I don't believe Jordans celebrity comes close to Ali. Ali today is still an icon, and his career ended well before the advent of the internet. He was worldwide before there was a worldwide net. If Jordan had played in the same era Ali made his mark in, he would be a distant 3rd to Ali and then Pele.
