Sorry i'm more interested in listening to his stories about Sugar Ray to be honest.

plus listening to how he made Frazier Quit, thats always a good one.

Whats up Joe? Not want to play anymore?

i think it could have been.

the 1st fight liston just took a whooping.

that 2nd one with the phantom/anchor punch controversy could have been fishy.

doesn't matter though. either way , sonny couldn't beat ali.

Ali caught him with a shot that he didn't see coming when he was a bit off balance and he went down. Sonny took his time getting up, waited for Walcott to start his count, got up to start fighting, then Walcott jumped in to stop it after talking with the time keeper. No fix involved unless Walcott got payed off.

So...the punch did land and hurt Liston.
              1. the punch landed right on the sweet spot but i don't think liston was hurt. i think the punch was a flash knockdown at best. liston stumbling about looked real fake. i think sonny either was trying to take a dive or trying to find a quick way out of the fight.

              2. ali is to blame for the confusion because he wouldn't go to a neutral corner. walcott was trying to get him to a neutral corner like he's suppose to.

              3. walcott was inexperienced as a referee. he didn't control the situation very well , which explains why ali and sonny started fighting while he went to consult someone at ringside.

              4. i believe it was the editor of ring magazine who told him the count went to 10 and the fight should be over. why is the referee being consulted by a magazine editor?

a lot of blame goes around for this mess.

I've seen this a few times at wrestling. Guys would get an elbow to the head and mind you, these guys can take pain....but once their equilibrium was out....you would think they were goofing around. But they weren't.
the punch was straight to the chin. i can understand if it was to the temple.

                it was a flash knockdown.

liston seemed to be acting imho.

                  maybe.

                  doubt it though.

he makes a beef , pork and chicken adobo all in one with solid hard boiled eggs marinated in adobo sauce.
