According to Ricky Hatton's legal counsel, Gareth Williams, they have a binding verbal contract to fight Manny Pacquiao on May 2 with an agreed upon 50-50 split. Two days ago, Pacquiao's lawyer, Franklin Gacal, told reporters that Manny will not accept an equal split of the money. He said Pacquiao is looking for a 60-40 split. Hatton refuses to fight Pacquiao for anything less than a 50-50 split. [details]

Is 60% a fact? Either way its in America and Pac is the draw. Worldwide Hatton has it hands down, easy. I think because of the De La Hoya fight, Manny's even more popular with the average boxing fans. Hatton hasn't done anything in America (yet) to get a 50/50 with the #1 P4P king. Though I am curious (I forgot) as to what May "gave" Hatton for there fight.

I like Hatton but Manny with his last 3 fights alone kill anything Hatton has ever done. Ever. Manny deserves in my eyes 70% regardless of who's who. When Hatton beats someone (like Pac - rematch with Floyd) than he can call out figures. Until then he takes less when fighting TOP P4P fighters. And don't think I dislike Hatton. I don't. I appreciate him coming over to the US and fighting. I like his style, a lot. I just know he will never beat Pac or Mayweather. But that's not a bad thing. Hatton's still good.

I'm looking forward to (sad to say) Hatton getting his ass beat and Manny calling out Mayweather and we all get a super fight. Manny will make Mayweather fight and will bring out the best in both of them. It would easlily be the biggest fight in 09. Pac Vs Hatton is just the set up....
