So that is a total of 2.5 million total when combined with the Malinaggi fight.....Didn't he also have a PPV for his bout with Lascano? Ricky IMO should be given an equal split considering his draw power in the UK alone, especially if Pac is getting a share of the PPV buys in Britain.

You guys are totally unaware of the PPV figures over here, the floyd fight did double the PPV near enough in the UK that it did in the states.

            I'll go fix it.

Then the writer really makes sense after all. Hatton gets to keep whatever buys the fight will get in the UK and Pacman gets his in his native homeland. The PPV buys in the US is a whole different matter, Pacman should get 60% of the PPV pie.

Or they can ****e it up a little with both boxers getting 40%, with a 20% side bet on who wins, makes the fight more interesting, although the fight itself doesn't need this kind of hype to sell...

Belt means nothing nowadays, specially if this fight doesn't go the purse bid way anyways. Prime examples would be Iron Mike, SRL, Duran and a lot more others, they almost always get the bigger slice of the pie even if they're fighting the beltholder...

                How does that work out?

None of the fighters are American. Pac was not widely known to casual American boxing fans before Oscar. Hatton steadily gained popularity, which peaked when he fought Mayweather.

No fighter is above and beyond the other. This fight should split the U.S ppv 50-50. And like you said Hatton should keep all the UK ppv and Pac should keep all the Filipino ppv.

                  Pacquiao/Marquez II – 400,000 PPV Buys

                  Pacquiao/Barrera – 350,000 PPV Buys

                  Barrera/Morales II - 300,000-325,000 PPV buys

                  Pacquiao/Morales - 700,000 PPV buys

                  Ricky's numbers....

                  Hatton vs Mayweather-1.8 million buys

Hatton vs Mallinaggi-1,000,000 PPV buys in the UK

Hatton has had more Pay Per Views than this but just two of his fights have generated more PPV buys than all four of Pacmans bouts with the Mexican legends.

                    lol!

We're talking about the buys here in the US! We don't even know how much Pacman rakes in in the Philippines everytime his fights are televised there. And some say Hatton will draw 50,000 easy, if the fight will be held there in England. Did you know that Luisito Espinosa was watched by 200,000 people there in the Philippines when he fought there? Imagine what would be the numbers if Pacman fights there again!

Hatton-Mayweather drew 850K, don't exaggerate your numbers here, and who gives a hoot if he had 1000 gazillion buys for the Malignaggi fight in the UK? None of these matters because the writer even suggested Hatton keeps his own and vice-versa...

Yeah hatton does draw a lot of ppv in the uk, but did you guys consider how much money tv networks on the Philippines are willing to pay for a pacman fight? If you secure a pac fight on your network you'd probably get around 70% or more of the population watching it (assuming they won't buy the ppv).
