I'm not sure, but my opinion is probably that boxing is not part of their culture, I also don't think they follow much boxing either.

An Arabian Middle Eastern South Asian fighter might be hard to come by.

Amir Khan is a very talented fighter, only time will tell if he has what it takes to be great.

Yea, Mustafa Hamsho was good. though he was hammered by Marvin Hagler, he has the scalps of both Wilfred Benitez and Bobby Csyz.

Didn't one guy fight at WW and the other at CW?

i guess there's Chris John, the man who beat JMM. Many people still disregard him because he hasnt fought alot of big names, but JMM is pretty damn good if u ask me. Only problem is he doesnt fight outside of his country thus far.

                    Exactly!

                    a "W" vs. Wilfred Benitez!

However, if Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan are included in South Asia, then things are changing in a big way - some names have already started to make their presence felt in the last few years, & some major stars look like coming through.

Alexander Alexeev & Gennady Golovkin are two to keep an eye on - both look like being something special...
They are considered more as a central asian countries.
