IMO a rematch between the two is the only thing realistic for the both of them. Their last bout ended in a 1. round knock down but a SD win to Calzaghe, in a match i personly scored for Hopkins. The only thing left for these two legends is to face each other.

How does you guys see the chances of a rematch between the two in 09?

Calz won the fight. Clearly. Hops clinched, held faked low blows and just wasnt very active. Rematch for one would be boring. Fans arent demanding it and for two...after Hopkins attitude before and during the fight I can't blame Joe for not rematching him.

        I want to see it.

..... and Joe hates him. If he is going to fight again, it has to be against someone who can get under his skin and light a fire under him - Hopkins

        Not Dawson - seriously?

Joe would win again as well. But to be fair, they are a both a horrible mesh of styles.

Very little, Calzaghe at this stage just wants to add names to his legacy. He already has Hopkins on there even if it was a razor thin win. Dawson seems the only other logical opponent.

from the sounds of Calzaghe, chances are looking very slim.. hate to say it but B-Hop should retire now if he can't get a fight with Calzaghe... going out on top is the best thing to do at his age..

and who is that lovely specimen on ur signature??... I love thy bootay

That hot piece of ass is named Selena ****e..!

Well it's to bad if it doesn't happen..! And looking at how Calzaghe massacred Jones, there's no way in hell Hopkins would have a rematch with Jones. Guess retirement is about the only option since he has stated he's not going to fight Dawson.

Does anybody beside me actually thinks Hopkins could win a rematch?

If Cal didnt give a rematch to opponents he actually respected and look good against what the hell makes you think he's gonna give Hop a rematch when he knows Hop has a terrible style and had a bomb on PPV with.

I honestly see why Cal fought in Wales so much cuz he's not really a PPV draw over here and even with all the "o he didnt come to america to fight" he still gets little credit from hater when he actually did come to fight in America and this is coming from an American poster

Hop is a chump for not fighting Dawson imo, he says he wants to let the young boys shine but yet he jumped at the chance to fight young boy Pavlik

Guess the man just needed redemption from the two losses to Taylor.. And who better than beating the man who killed Taylor twice?
