Under the safe assumption that De La Hoya is a bigger draw then Mayweather we can observe that.

If the answer is 1) by a fairly large number we can conclude: Ricky Hatton is a bigger draw than Manny Pacquiao

If it's 2) it is complicated by the fact that Oscar is a bigger draw than Floyd, and we should quantify that difference, before making a judgment call

Some considerations should me made on outside options too. It seems Pac has more lucrative ones.
    Mayweather-Hatton did.
It sold 900+k buys here in the US and 1.4 million PPV's in Europe. That means 2.3 million PPV buys.
For De La Hoya-Pacquiao, HBO reported 1.3-1.4 million buys in the US and I doubt the rest of the world got the numbers above 1 million buys. So that means Hatton out earned Manny even though he fought the "Golden Boy".
I hope my point has been proven by now.

      That is simply not true.

In fact, I didn't hear anyone complaining about Oscar's punch output when he fought Floyd.

He threw 587 punches in that fight in 12 rounds total.

Against Manny, he threw 402 in just 8 rounds.

I'm not seeing the huge discrepancy in punch output here. This also goes against the whole dehydrated, and weight drained argument that everyone is making, because if he was so dehydrated and weight drained, then why wasn't his punch output significantly lower than it was in the Floyd fight, where he was the much busier fighter ?
That's an average of 50 SLOW punches per round. You cannot beat a guy like manny fighting like that. We both know this.
You only have to go back as far as the Steve Forbes fight to realize that Oscar fought nothing like what he is capable of. The impressive win was made that way due to the competition more so than the performance. I don't want to take anything away from Manny because I think he is marvelous, but his win was made allot more dramatic based on Oscar's inability to do anything. Marquez is a good boxer and a good brawler but nowhere near as good as Oscar was at his best and you see what he was able to accomplish against Manny since he is allot fresher. I like Manny but I have to play the devils advocate in this thread because the 'Pacman' is out of his mind asking for a larger split against Hatton at this point.

Come on. What does a ppv cost in the Phillippines? A banana and a pack of skittles?

I remind you Pacman beat Diaz on accumilation. Holt, a lesser fighter at 140 than Hatton KTFO Diaz quicker than Pacman did, a green untried Holt.

i think Pacman can and will win but until Pacman takes the first power shot who the **** knows how he will take it, Malinaggi has a A class chin an A class 140lb chin at that and he was in ***** street in round two when hatton popped him.

There is an awful lot of people counting chicken from eggs that haven't even been laid yet reference this fight, anyone who think Hatton won't be a force against anyone a 140 is ignoring an awful lot of evidence saying he will and making an awful lot of leaps of faith based on a mediocre Diaz and a shot to hell ODLH.
Hey, Manny has been beaten a few times by fighters who were not considered the top 3 P4P , worse than Hatton who was only beaten by the best in the game. You have to take that into consideration when posting something like you did here.

Not really, Pacman was young for both those fights, certainly less skilled, I don't hold BHop's loss in his first fight against him.
