if hatton is smart, he should demand "50/50 or no fight!" that will get him

    I disagree.

Pacquiao has more than one blockbuster fight option if the Hatton fight happens to fall through (which I highly doubt will happen..)

Who can Hatton fight at this point that is going to be even close to the mega event that a fight with Manny would be ?

Pac just beat boxings biggest superstar Oscar De La Hoya, not just beat,TKO'd him,a PPV which had huge numbers, and is well known more in the US then Hatton,on HBO PPV,most US viewers would buy this fight to watch Pac,not Hatton

Yeh,Hatton may have 10,000 fans traveling, that dont mean hes the bigger draw! Kelly Pavlik has thousands of fans that would travel for him,it doesnt mean hes a bigger draw then Mayweather

As of now,Manny is P4P NO1 and is coming of a huge win,hes the face of boxing as of now

Exactly, the names at Light Welter are not big, unless Ortiz smashes thru the main stream,Manny has options to have a 3rd fight with Marquez, which would be big,or he could fight Floyd

I guess that's what Manny's team is counting on in the negotiations. Hatton's team's claim that they could fight Mayweather if the fight with Pacquiao fell through is ridiculous.

              That is simply not true.

In fact, I didn't hear anyone complaining about Oscar's punch output when he fought Floyd.

He threw 587 punches in that fight in 12 rounds total.

Against Manny, he threw 402 in just 8 rounds.

I'm not seeing the huge discrepancy in punch output here. This also goes against the whole dehydrated, and weight drained argument that everyone is making, because if he was so dehydrated and weight drained, then why wasn't his punch output significantly lower than it was in the Floyd fight, where he was the much busier fighter ?
those supposed punches oscar threw against floyd werent even really punches.. he basically just stuck his arm out there like he was trying to measure pacman.. and when he did throw punches, most of them were with no power or authority whatsoever.. looking at oscar's body and how he moved, he looked absolutely terrible and drained.. its not pacman's fault, but thats how it is..

back to the subject, hatton brings in more fans from the uk and has a pretty good fanbase.. pacman before oscar, wasn't really drawing **** as far as ppv.. personally ive paid for a few fights, but the general public has not no one can dispute that.. also, ricky is the man at 140 and they're fighting for his belt, its disrespectful not to fight with a 50/50 split.. maybe even a 45/55 split, but come on hatton deserves more than that

This fight should be made like this.

Let Pac get 60-40 of the U.S ppv, because he is slightly the bigger draw in the U.S after his victory over a shot Oscar.

Let Hatton keep 100% of the UK ppv. And considering this fight will most likely break UK ppv records, Hatton could be looking at £15-20m in UK ppv sales alone. Add on top 40% of the U.S ppv, and Hatton makes far more than Pac.

I think that W against De La Hoya has gotten to Pacquiao's head.
50-50 is a fair deal. Pacquiao is the number one fighter in the sport and draws a decent crowed. Hatton gets people to fly over seas and puts people in seats.
People will talk about it's all about PPV revenue but 100+ per seat is a lot of money,
not to mention the closed circuit television **** that goes 50 bucks a pop in the casinos.
Also, I believe this will be PPV in the U.K. as well.

Well besides that one, I also think a third fight with Marquez would be a huge fight, an even bigger one than the first two combined with what both fighters have accomplished since last meeting.

A Cotto fight, though unlikely, is still very possible, regardless of the outcome of his next two fights.

Even a Margarito fight, which is a horrible matchup for Manny, but still not out of the question, would be a mega event.

Basically everyone from 147 on down would be more than willing to take a fight with the Pound for Pound King, and there are enough big names out there that fall into that category to make a few different blockbuster events.
