but that was in reply to a poster saying pac has big money options.

It should be pretty clear that there is no big money in boxing outside oscar, pbf, hatton and pacman

Difference being Pacman fighting nobody doesn't being in money, Hatton fighting nobody still does.

yep...there would be some concession needed for this fight to happen and i think it will...

what i dont understand is all the fuss from fight fans...there is no contract signed for a fight that's 4-5months away...what? they didnt expect a little haggling about the purse split?

it happens ALL THE TIME...even moreso when its two marquee names....

however, if it is about the dollar, there is too much of it out there for a fight like this so i dont know why people are getting constipated over this ****

Hatton is NOT Top 5 quality opponent, so he draws his people in from the UK. Woopy doo, that dont mean #$%Z. Hatton just take the 60/40 cause thats the LAST big payday your going to see anyways.

pac is acting like a businessman. just sign the contract and give the fans a great fight between 2 true warriors.

Hatton is #1 and Pacquiao is the challenger. Nuff said !

People are talking like Hatton is the challenger in this fight, thats deluded. Pacquiaos the challenger and out of the two he's not the draw either....****tt, Hatton deserves 60-40 more than Manny does.

              50-50 is fair though.

                  This thread is ridiculous.

Is Pacman regarded as a better fighter than hatton? Yes, undoubtedly.

Does that mean he is a bigger draw and entitled to more money? No!

Hatton is the biggest draw in boxing today. He sold out 55,000 tickets against a nobody and regularly sold out the 20,000 M.E.N. Arena against bums handpicked by Frank Warren.

Hatton/Floyd did more PPV sales in the UK alone versus Pacman/DLH.

Who gets the bigger purse isn't about their ability or their likelyhood to win the fight - it is all about who is the bigger draw.

Hatton will generate more money for this fight than Pac - therefore Hatton is the bigger draw.

Hattons needs this fight in order to reestablish his career. Pac has options and can sit on the backburner until he gets the offer he wants. At the end of the day the outcome of a Hatton vs. Pac is going to be the same.

Pac by a brutal TKO over Hatton.
