You missed a couple of people. Especially in 2004's.

Others you missed were Carl Daniels, Mark Johnson, Tim Austin, Carlos Navarro, and some more.

Yeah, I prolly missed a lot. I should be shot for missing Johnson, though.

Which ones are you particularly impressed (or UNimpressed) by in their transition from amateur to pro?

Chris Eubank won the 1984 GG's...

Eubank became obsessed with trying to improve his skills at the boxing gym and trained seven days a week, becoming an amateur boxer and winning the 1984 New York Spanish Golden Gloves
or are teh Spanish ones something different?

            Thats from Wiki btw.

It's odd to think that Andre Berto, Roy Jones, Jermain Taylor and Michael Spinks all fought at the same weight in Golden Gloves. (light middle).

Didn't Scully say that was false?

I'm impressed with David Diaz winning 3 years in a row for chicago. And he beat Judah in the amateurs. Not sure how that happened.

Also impressed with how Michael Carbajal never grew from 106. He beat Floyd Mayweather in the amateurs didn't he? I know Martin Castillo did on top of that too.

John Scully wrote a good article on who beat who in the amateurs on maxboxing.

Andre Berto has been fighting at JMW since 2001?! I did not know that.

Think about it: When Oscar was at welterweight, and Floyd was at superfeatherweight, Berto was already at 156.
