Johnny Rebel was saying that in his opinion, Calzaghe would have fought Jones in the US, if Jones had expressed any interest in fighting him. bsrizpac has a different opinion. It's impossible to prove one way or the other, but it's undeniable that when Calzaghe was calling him out, Jones never expressed any interest - he never said "I want the fight but only if you come to the US". But I agree that Calzaghe could have pushed harder for the fight than he did. I think he wanted it, and that he probably would have been willing to travel if Jones had shown any interest, but it's a shame Calzaghe didn't push harder for it at that time. And Hopkins did come close to signing to fight Calzaghe soon after beating Trinidad, and then pulled out at the last minute over money, after suddenly asking for his share of the purse to be doubled.

Lee, I mean no disrespect, but that was very difficult to read. Is it too much to ask you to spell words correctly instead of using mobile phone language? There is no character limit here, and if you attempt to spell correctly, even if you misspell words, you'll probably be more respected around here.

It doesn't take much longer to write "there" instead of "der", or "welter" instead of "welter". The time you save by spelling words incorrectly means we have to spend extra time trying to decipher what you are saying. Be considerate towards others. Lets put aside the nationalistic nonsense that flows through your post and try to debate in a language we both speak. No one has ever said Calzaghe's best win was Lacy so that point is moot. Kessler was a great win for Calzaghe but IMO Eubank was his career defining win as he beat him for the vacant WBO belt. The same belt he defended over twenty times. The rest of your post is incoherent British bias that needs no explaining.

There is your answer,as that would be the only way to explain anyone choseing Lacy as his best win. Jeff's resume is worse than Kessler's and is horrible compared to Bhop,never mind the difference in skill between them.

Edit: Calzaghe did gain recognition from beating Lacy,his fan base increased on this board after the win.
