    Underrated Fights

For whatever reason, fights that aren't really talked about as exciting, because of controversy, something, etc.

I just watched Vargas-Wright, and it was a really good fight. Neither fighter backed away much, and a lot of hard punches were thrown and landed.

The biggest one I can think of is Mayweather-Castillo I... No one ever talks about what a crowd pleasing fight that was, they just constantly ***** about or defend the decision to their deaths.

Barrera-Morales II is another one. A lot of people think that this fight isn't very good, because it didn't really compare to the first and third fights, which got Fight of the Year honors. I personally like this fight the best out of the trilogy, but I've heard a lot of people call this fight a "snoozer".

What else can you think of?

Vazquez Marquez I. Everyone talks about the second and third cuz they were legendary but the first fight was gangsta too.

A couple closet classics that come to mind that I love are...

Castillo vs. Lazcano-Hidden on the undercard of an Oscar PPV was this gem in which Castillo basically ruined Juan Lazcano who was favored btw to win...both men killed each other Castillo just proved to be less human.

KZOO vs. Oktay Urkal-Showtime was setting up Zoo vs. Judah with a double header-Zab got Alan Vester to thrash on and they gave Zoo a ****ing beast in Urkal...lucky for Zab the opponents werent reversed that night...grueling match in witch both men I believe broke their jaws. Urkal fought his ass off in this one and gave KT all he could handle.

snipes vs berbick was a great heavyweight fight that no one talks about, Mormeck vs Bell was a great fight as well that few people talk about.

The first fight obviously was very gangsta.

It was one of the first fights I watched when it was happening, because I was still a rook. I think it was actually the second "live" (although I watched it through my TV) even ever, after Dawson-Adamek.
